What I do:
Wills, Estate & Succession Planning and Property law matters with a focus on rural and agribusiness clients. I provide advice and assistance with a broad range of matters including Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Guardianship, Trusts, Deceased Estates (Probate and Administration), Leases and Share Farming as well as advising farmers and other landowners who have been approached by developers of renewable energy facilities such as wind farms. I also have a keen interest in elder abuse law as well as administration and guardianship matters in the State Administrative Tribunal.
Why I do it:
In all aspects of my work I meet the most interesting individuals. Our clients seek guidance and support to navigate their way through some of the most difficult decisions or complex but rewarding opportunities of their lifetimes. Assisting our clients and getting to the outcome is always rewarding. I also get to tap into my creativity and “out of the box” thinking when required because much of the time a “one size fits all” approach is not the solution.
What I do:
Farm succession planning, trust reviews, farm leases, share cropping agreements, estate planning including Will, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Guardianship, deceased estates, general property transactions and contract preparation.
Why I do it:
I love getting the job done for my clients who live as far away as Albany, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Geraldton and Karratha and places in between. Having farmed for almost 25 years I understand the challenges that come with rural life.
Clients can’t always get to an office to meet in person, so being available by email, phone and even meet face to face on the farm is very much appreciated. The variety of clients and their individual needs ensures no two days are the same.
What I do:
Property and commercial law and estate planning. With an extensive background in commercial property transactions, I am also able to prepare documents and advise you on matters relating to leases, land and business sale/purchase contracts, general commercial contracts, transfer duty and family farm exemptions, establishing or varying family/discretionary trusts and all your estate planning requirements.
Why I do it:
I really enjoy drafting contracts and aim to keep the language in my documents clear and free of confusing legal jargon. Prioritising client outcomes is an important value and being part of the team at WA Property Lawyers enables me to achieve this by working closely and build relationships with clients.
What I do:
I specialise in property, commercial and succession planning matters in the rural and agricultural sector for rural and regional clients. I assist with Farm Succession Planning and documentation, Land leasing, Share Farm Agreements, Property and business sale and purchase advice, Vendor Sale Agreements and Security, Family Farm Exempt Transactions and advice, Trust establishment, variation, appointment and advice, Wills and estates, probate and administration applications and estate management.
Why I do it:
I was born and raised on a broadacre farm in Lake Grace, Western Australia and then following Secondary Education and for approximately 10 years continued to farm with my parents on our family farm in Westonia, Western Australia. My family has been involved in agriculture in Australia for numerous generations and in varied locations.
It is for this reason that upon completing my Law Degree a specialisation in agriculture was an obvious choice for me given my association with farming and agriculture.
